Creative Therapy

11 Doors To You

Art can permeate the very deepest part of us, where no words exist.

Eileen Moore

Creative Therapy is creating different artistic mediums for expression where words are not enough.

Art, drama, dancing, singing and drumming are all powerful tools for self-expression and healing.

Sometimes, words simply can’t convey the depth of one’s emotions, especially when dealing with difficult or traumatic experiences.

Through our creative workshops, participants are provided with a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their suppressed emotions and conflicts, whilst socialising and having fun.

By engaging in various art forms, they can tap into their creativity and express themselves in ways that may be more freeing and impactful than traditional talk therapy.

Whether it’s through painting, acting, dancing or singing, our workshops are designed to encourage participants to delve into their inner worlds and share their experiences without the limitations of verbal expression. This process helps individuals release hard emotions, gain clarity, and become the best version of themselves.

Acting Workshops

Acting allows individuals to portray a wide range of emotions by playing different characters and living their experiences, both positive and negative.
Actors tap into their own emotions and experiences, as well as their understanding of human behaviour, to bring characters and stories to life. This can involve expressing a variety of emotions, including joy, anger, love, sadness, regret and excitement, among many others. While some actors may choose to explore and use their own personal struggles or emotions in their performances, releasing them and healing from within.

Drumming Circles

Drumming has been used for centuries by different cultures as a form of healing and self-expression.
The rhythmic nature of drumming connects us to the natural world and the constant beat and rhythm of everything around us.

When we drum, our bodies and minds synchronize with the rhythm, creating a sense of flow and harmony. This synchronization can have profound effects on our mental health and well-being.

Drumming allows us to express and release emotions in a non-verbal way. The rhythmic beats can help us tap into our feelings and provide a healing experience.

Drumming also requires coordination between the hands, feet, and mind. By engaging multiple parts of the body simultaneously, drumming enhances the mind-body connection, improving overall physical and mental well-being.
